JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Dispatcher acts as a central communication hub for receiving and managing routine and emergency maintenance requests. This position coordinates service requests, schedules maintenance technicians, and helps ensure timely responses to maintenance requests. This position is also responsible for coordinating various administrative processes and helping to maintain the efficient operation of the Facility Services team.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Fields phone inquiries regarding emergency and non-emergency maintenance services; processes work order information into the maintenance management system and/or contacts appropriate maintenance staff
Coordinates the assignment of work orders; dispatches staff to emergencies by radio communications system; reports equipment failures to contractors, i.e. elevator service
Issues and monitors department credit cards, hot work permits, and temporary keys
Manages uniforms for union employees; oversee the accounting for and reordering of all uniforms distributed to employees
Audits all uniform invoices to ensure accuracy of charges and that departments are charged correctly for their employee’s uniforms
Maintains the Facilities website and regularly makes updates and changes
Receives visitors of the building and notifying employees of their arrival
Sorts and distributes all mail/deliveries to Facility Services
Assists with union time for payroll
May serve as a member of the emergency essential personnel staff and report to work during closing/inclement weather to assist in carrying out the services of the University
Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or the equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in dispatching, facilities management, or customer service
HOURLY RANGE
$18.58 - $22 per hour
