We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Business Analysts with extensive knowledge of ISO 20022 standards. In this pivotal role, you will lead the analysis and implementation of ISO 20022 standards across our product lines on a fixed-term contract. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our banking platform and ensuring seamless compliance and optimization of our financial messaging processes.

This position will provide you the opportunity to play an important part to help shape the future of our Banking platform to the Commonwealth agencies, overseas customers and industry payment partners as an integral function of our iconic Australian institution.

As an experienced Business Analyst Lead, you will be part of a scrum team alongside other Business Analysts, Testers, Developers, Scrum Master and Product Owners working in an Agile framework to create value to the Commonwealth agencies through payments and core banking systems. Use your critical thinking, Business Analysis skills and experience to understand business requirements and communicate them to a wide range of stakeholders and your Change Delivery team to insure successful deliveries.
 

Your background 

  • Analyse business processes to seek effective business requirements and solutions that are fit for purpose and adhere to business strategies, objectives and consistencies.

  • Ability to lead Agile ceremonies, such as Release Planning, Refinement, Planning, 3 Amigos and Stand-up.

  • Experience in refining User Stories and communicating requirements to a different audience.

  • Ensure that all requirements are clearly captured and understood through effective communication, coordination, and documentation.

  • Experience with banking systems, business and operations.

  • An understanding of transactional banking, payments and settlements environments.

  • Agile methodology frameworks.

  • Experience with ISO 20022 message formats is highly desirable.

  • IIBA Certification or equivalent demonstrated experience would be an advantage.

  • Work with your Product Owner, other BA, Testers, and Developers to implement change as required by stakeholders.

  • Support the prioritisation of initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

  • Perform solution, pilot evaluation and post implementation phases to ensure appropriate quality and fitness for purpose.
