Key Responsibilities:  This is a roving position.  The candidate selected will be responsible for maintenance at a variety of properties in the Charleston SC area.

General Maintenance:


Assist in routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, and equipment upkeep.
Perform inspections of common areas and report any issues to the Maintenance Manager.


Porter Duties:


Ensure cleanliness of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
Collect and replace trash can bags throughout the community.
Remove litter, debris, and trash from the community grounds regularly.
Set up and break down furniture for community events as needed.


Assistance with Residents:


Provide courteous assistance to residents and guests, addressing their needs and concerns.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and help facilitate repairs.


Safety and Compliance:


Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed in accordance with safety regulations and community standards.
Report any safety hazards or maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in maintenance or custodial work is a plus.
Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

•    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
