Information Security Intern

This is a paid internship that is part of Heaven Hill's Summer Internship Program (May-August). The role is a remote position based in the United States.

What the Role Is

We are looking for an Information Security Intern to join our Information Technology team. As an Intern, you will assist with understanding, documenting and mitigating risk, where possible, through more efficient use of our existing security tooling. You will have the opportunity to interact with Microsoft O365, endpoint protection platforms, email security gateways, web filtering technology, firewalls and other network/security-related products to improve the protection of Heaven Hill corporate data and users.

As part of the Heaven Hill Summer Internship Program, you will directly support the organizations strategic goals through project work and business-critical assignments. We’re committed to providing valuable experience and professional development opportunities for students in our summer internship program. The summer experience consists of networking, intern development sessions & workshops, tours of Heaven Hill facilities, social events and more!

How You Will Spend Your Time?

• Reviewing existing configuration and performing live traffic analysis to determine the best recommendations to improve the efficacy of existing security tooling
• Assist with system review for inactive users / devices that need to be purged
  

Who You Are…

• Currently a junior / senior pursuing a Cyber Security, Information Systems, or related degree
  
• Experience with Windows 10/11
  
• Knowledge of Microsoft O365
  
• Intermediary Understanding of computer networking
  
• Windows / Linux Server Experience a plus!

Physical Requirements
While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
