For our headquarter in Munich or remotely, we are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position:

Senior Manager European Medical Affairs Oncology-GI Tumors/ multiple Tumor (m/f/x)

The position:

The Medical Management Oncology Europe Solid Tumors / Gastro Intestinal (GI) Cancers / multiple tumor indications will provide strategic execution of the European scientific and medical affairs plan to ensure the success of  pre-launch and post launch activities for Daiichi Sankyo oncology products. He/ she/ they will be the regional oncology GI and multiple tumor area expert for internal and external stakeholders.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop and ensure the appropriate implementation of the scientific and medical affairs strategy in close collaboration with key stakeholders (R&D, Commercial, KAMs, MSLs, etc.)

  • Maintain an active network of key opinion leaders and community oncologists with specific focus on GI Cancers and multiple tumor indications

  • Co-Build and Maintain an insight generating network with Regulators and Payers to ensure that Daiichi-Sanky generates appropriate Tumor agnostic data leading to patient access in the Region

  • Provide strategic input to the oncology planning and execution of brand plans at global and regional level

  • Work closely with and influencing clinical development on all aspects, including study design, initiation, and monitoring of clinical studies, phase II-phase IV

  • Interacting with experts at medical meetings, advisory boards, and outreach meetings to represent Daiichi Sankyo and strengthen its reputation in oncology

  • Maintaining external orientation by participating actively in external Oncology events and activities

  • Lead the cross functional European Medical Team with key representatives from European Affiliates

  • Senior Medical Manager is responsible for timely execution of the European medical affairs plan within budget. Medical Director is accountable for the timely execution of the European medical affairs plan within budget.

  • Acts as the medical expert and leader in interactions with external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, R&D, global medical affairs)

  • Drive the medical affairs activities and generation of key data to support overall product life cycle management and business strategy

  • Participate in the building of Regulatory and Payer insight and the environment to facilitate multiple tumor indications

  • Be the primary contact for scientific expertise for GI Cancers and multiple tumor indications within the medical affairs group for affiliates, global teams, and external experts / customers

 

Personal skills and professional experience:

  • Life science  (ideally at least master level)  or medical degree ideally with relevant specialist experience 
  • At least 3 years ( 5 years for Director grade) of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Clinical or Industry experience in GI cancers and other cancers and their treatment desirable
  • Good knowledge of the European Healthcare systems and drug law
  • Proactive, integrative and conceptual personality with leadership skills
  • Result oriented and customer focused with the ability to work in a matrix organization and manage interfaces to different stakeholders (internal & external)
  • Team player, open-minded, highly motivated
