Job Description

As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for all visitors. This is a driving post where you will conduct routine patrols and respond to situations as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible presence.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly with team members and site management regarding security-related concerns and incidents.
• Assist patrons and staff with directions, information, and general inquiries as needed while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Complete required reports and documentation for incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times to help to deter potential issues in the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
