Certified Pharmacy Tech (40 hours per week) #3279

RAMC is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician to work at our new La Valle Clinic, soon to open!

 

Rotating 8 hour shifts 

M-F 7:30AM - 7:30PM 

Saturday & Sunday  9AM-5PM

 

What you'll do: 

This is a full-performance-level position within the Reedsburg Area Medical Center Pharmacy Department. The role serves as an all-around assistant to the pharmacist, requiring performance of duties with an understanding of the workflow, the pharmacy routine, and the responsibilities of the Pharmacy Service. 

 

Education and Training Required:

 

• Successful completion of four years above high school with courses related to pharmacy (e.g., 48 semester hours of science, mathematics, pharmacy) or a bachelor’s degree. 

 

• OR An associate’s degree in pharmacy technician (48 semester hours of concentrated pharmacy technician training).

 

• OR Four years of pharmacy technician experience

 

• AND Certification of CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA

• Must have 1500 hours of experience as a pharmacist technician within the past three years or completed an accredited pharmacy technician training program. 

 

• BLS certification required.

 

 

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, manual/fine dexterity, grasping, and hearing at close distance.

 

• Occasional bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, and squatting.

 

• Occasional ability to lift/carry or push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Sight:

• Near and far vision is required in order to visualize computer screens, review documents, assist patients and other members of the healthcare team.

Cognition/Communication:

• Ability to participate in all aspect of communication in regards to writing, reading, math, hearing and comprehensive speech skills.

Environmental Conditions:

• Work is largely performed in a pleasant, indoor hospital/clinic environment.
