Senior Project Manager - IT & Security

You are the person everyone on the initiative everyone goes to; not only because you have a 360 degree view of what the mission is all about, but they know the sooner they collaborate with you the smoother things go. You love agile, your grocery list has a backlog and your fridge list is a kanban. You collaborate well with others, but aren’t afraid to tell the real story about where things stand to whoever needs to hear it. When things are off track, you're like a bloodhound and serve as a trusted advisor to find out what is really standing in the way of progress. You’ve been through enough rodeos to believe that bad news doesn't get better with time but you don't just report the facts; you dig in to get creative with solutions.

At Expel we aren’t looking for a box checker, though we would like our boxes a little more organized. The IT and Security teams need a Project Manager who knows that the people are as important as the planning. You are the person who can elevate the team members so they can focus on getting stuff done, but you can also dig down into the details when needed. You’ve worn many hats, which gives you the ability to understand “all the things” that need to be tracked. You are someone who has the experience to figure out what needs to get done and grok the complexity involved with tasks in each area. When things get difficult, you bring clarity and can guide people to the end. We know the bigger the project we embark on the more we need someone to help pull it all together. What you should bring with you

• A solid understanding of information security -- technologies, products and services
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies & related tools
• Excellent active listening, negotiating and conflict management skills
• A Bachelor’s degree or a compelling story
• 5+ years of professional experience in Project Management

Additional notes

The base salary range for this role is between $110,200 USD and $159,800 USD + bonus eligibility and equity.

We believe in paying transparently and equitably. Your salary will ultimately be based on factors such as your experience, skills, team equity, and market data. You’ll also be eligible for unlimited PTO (which we model and encourage), work location flexibility, up to 24 weeks of parental leave, and really excellent health benefits.
