Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Partner, you'll function in a team environment, reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader with direct responsibilities to the Production Team Leader and Team. 'Partner-owned' means our most important resources--People--drive the innovation, growth, and success that make H-E-B The Greatest Omnichannel Retailing Company.What is the work?- Maintains manufacturing processes and equipment in optimum condition; integrates several process techniques focused on achieving high levels of overall process effectiveness (TPO)- Applies fundamental understanding of team in development and active participation in a team environment through Division and Plant team orientation, and safety and quality training, and Level I Team skills- Operates the following equipmentELECTRICAL Operates meters and testing equipment, programmers, and soldering tools (e.g., AC, single and 3 phase from 24V to 480V and DC systems); operates new equipment (e.g., motors, starters, relays, timers switches, coils, transformers, switch gear)ELECTRONICS Operates computers (desktop programs) and appropriate tools; adjusts set points and machine controls (e.g., digital volt ohmmeter, handheld amp probe and held voltage tester, logic probes, CRT equipment)MECHANICAL Operates shop equipment (e.g., grinders, drills, saws, threaders, lathe, mill); starts up processing equipment, building equipment, and refrigeration systemsPNEUMATIC Operates pressure gauge (Bourden tube type)WELDING Operates welding equipment (e.g., soldering, brazing, wiping, hand forging, gas welding, flame cutting, arc welding, resistance welding, pressurized system, stainless steel welding, sanitary welding, including TIG or oxyacetylene)Repair & Replacement:- BUILDING SYSTEMS Repairs plant equipment- ELECTRICAL Replaces boards, relays, and input-output modules; calculates proper wire sizes and material- ELECTRONICS Replaces PC boards, relays, and input-output modules; burns chips and program systems- HYDRAULIC Replaces cylinders, valves, and pumps; performs preventative maintenance (e.g., 4-way / Vickers valves); repairs motor- MECHANICS Repairs / modifies / replaces parts on all production and facility equipment; calculates speed ration, sprocket sizes, and gear box size when modifying / replacing / repairing gear box assembly- PNEUMATIC Maintains/ replaces / repairs all pneumatic equipment- REFRIGERATION / HVAC Maintains / repairs freon, glycol, and ammonia refrigeration systems - WELDING Plans / organizes / performs all types of welding (gas, arc, Heliarc) to weld various beads, but lap, fillet, and sanitary tubing; welds pressure vessels Inspection:- ELECTRICAL Determines if systems are functioning properly; investigates problems; ensures compliance with federal and local electrical codes- HYDRAULIC Monitors fluids / pressures; adjusts when needed- PNEUMATIC Monitors fluids / pressures; adjusts when needed- REFRIGERATION / HVAC Monitors system pressures and temperatures; compares to standards; inspects systems for leaks; monitors fluid levels including glycol levels proper ratiosSafety / Compliance:- Performs preventative maintenance- ELECTRICAL Applies proper lock-out / tag-out on all electrical equipmentTroubleshooting:- BUILDING SYSTEMS Troubleshoots chilled water, steam distribution, and glycol systems- ELECTRICAL Troubleshoots all systems with / without schematics and photoelectric sensing equipment- ELECTRONICS Controls power or programming fault, Modicon / Allen-Bradley PLCs, and PID control devices- HYDRAULIC Troubleshoots circuit problems; isolates defective hardware- MECHANICS Troubleshoots all production and facility equipment- PNEUMATIC Troubleshoots circuit problems; isolates defective hardware- REFRIGERATION / HVAC Troubleshoots refrigeration systems (e.g., ammonia, glycol, freon); isolates problems- Reads blueprints (mechanics, welding)- Reads blueprints and schematic diagrams (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)- Reads blueprints, schematics, and refrigeration and steam documentation (refrigeration / HVAC)- Draws / designs basic system schematics (electrical)- Designs mechanical and electrical programs and systems on AutoCad (electronics)- Designs blueprints to repair / modify / construct / make process changes (mechanics)- Designs new / modifies existing plant systems to supply new / modified equipment (building systems)What is your background?- High school diploma- Experience in maintenance- Experience in electrical / mechanical / equipment (for building & process) repair- Experience completely disassembling process equipment and repairing, improving, and reassembling for re-useDo you have what it takes to be a fit as a Mfg M
