Salary: $200k-$240k + Bonus eligibility
Position Summary:
OTG is an airport food and beverage concession company operating across the United States and Canada. Known for delivering high-quality dining experiences to travelers, we partner with top-tier brands and Chefs to reimagine airport hospitality. As we scale across major hubs, we are building a best-in-class team to shape the future of airport concessions. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Vice President of Capital Projects will be responsible for leading the execution of multimillion-dollar airport concession projects, such as new builds, renovations, and upgrades. This strategic leadership role is critical to enabling our expansion by overseeing internal and external teams in design, procurement, construction contractor management, construction, and operational setup activities, while ensuring compliance with airport-specific regulations (e.g., TSA, FAA, local codes). Externally, the Vice President will manage relationships with airport authorities and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and innovation.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full lifecycle of airport concession projects to maximize profitability, stakeholder satisfaction, and alignment with brand and regulatory requirements.
• Initiates, organizes, and directs project teams to deliver within budget, scope, and schedule constraints. Responsibilities include:
• Obtaining necessary approvals for designs, construction contractor selections, materials, and operational processes, ensuring compliance with airport-specific standards.
• Establishing project schedules aligned with contractual commitments and airport operational requirements.
• Negotiating construction contractor contracts and issuing purchase orders for concession equipment and services.
• Processing contract extras/deletions and managing change orders with relevant teams.
• Organizing project estimates into a project management information system (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
• Overseeing design, procurement, construction, and operational setup, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality execution.
• Maintaining continuous communication with internal/external teams and airport stakeholders to ensure alignment with specifications, preparing for contingencies, and communicating adjustments to appropriate parties.
• Managing on-site execution, including supervision of outsourced construction and installation work for concession spaces.
• Acts as a key executive representative in managing relationships with airport authorities, leaseholders, and other stakeholders, responding promptly to requests and concerns.
• Maintains client communication, resolves issues, and fosters a positive environment to support long-term partnerships.
• Serves as a primary liaison between internal teams, airport authorities, general contractors, architects, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensures consistent delivery of high-quality service to all internal and external stakeholders, treating them as key customers.
• Anticipates and communicates critical issues to staff and clients in a timely, accurate manner.
• Conducts post-project reviews to ensure high service standards, stakeholder satisfaction, and improved speed-to-market for new openings and renovations.
• Develops, recommends, and manages project budgets, ranging from $1M to over $100M, ensuring effective financial management of change orders and communicating price changes to clients as appropriate.
• Systematically tracks all costs related to planning, construction, and operational setup of concession projects, providing regular reports on budget status and capital deployment to the C-suite.
