Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting in operational initiatives related to onboarding new business, developing new capabilities, and enhancing current processes. This cross-functional role will manage the creation, execution, and communication of large-scale initiatives, with the goal of increasing DA sales, reducing operating expenses, improving operational KPIs, and enhancing the overall customer experience for both Retail and Builder channels.

General Duties include but are not limited to:

Opportunity Assessment

  • Work with Cross functional teams to identify potential challenges in current operating models

  • Develop scope of opportunities to help “solve” some of the potential challenges

  • Create and evaluate options to solve challenges from an operational and financial viewpoint

Requirements Gathering & Planning

  • Develop process for learning and understanding how new accounts currently operate end-to-end (order transaction, policy, operations, etc.)
  • Determine processes and tasks required (internal and external) in order to onboard or create new DA business opportunities

Project Management

  • Create, document, and manage the tasks and timelines associated with onboarding new accounts, or new operational capabilities

  • Manage highly cross-functional projects, define owner and timelines, and hold responsible parties accountable for meeting deadlines and requirements

Process Improvement

  • Determine root cause challenges while evaluating problems

  • Evaluate and document end to end process flows

  • Identify areas for improvement and document these opportunities

  • Work cross-functionally to gain input and suggestions

  • Create and communicate process flows for end-to-end business transactions

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Students must either be enrolled in an accredited college/university currently pursuing their bachelor's or master's degree OR a recent graduate. To qualify for the internship program, students must have already completed their sophomore year or have graduated within 12 months.

  • Excels with computer software programs, i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word and new/emerging presentation programs

  • Analytical in problem solving: Collect and condense data into information that can be acted on

  • Attention to detail: Stays up-to-date, Documentation, Organized

  • Building internal cross-functional relationships and partnerships

  • Experienced in internal and external communication and managing by influence

  • Business acumen and financial analysis

  • Ability to understand the audience, and present or speak to various levels of the organization

  • Cross-functional experience working with departments such as product marketing, sales, service, IT, finance and business operations
