About the role

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday
9AM to 6PM EST
With 1 hour unpaid breaks

We are looking for an experienced professional in procurement and design who could manage the clothing and leather goods procurement for an apparel company

Tasks:
- negotiating with new suppliers
- making creative choices to create clothing pieces from drawings and guide factories
- placing bulk orders with existing suppliers
- analysing data in excel or with code to place bulk orders and calculate profits

Past jobs that may make them a good fit:
- procurement manager for e-commerce company
- buyer for clothing brands

Requirements

The person should have the following skills:
- 3 years or more of experience in sourcing suppliers on Alibaba and other B2B platforms
- Negotiation experience
- Knowledge and experience in product design to be able to make creative decisions based on a design drawing
- Must show proof that they managed the creation of a product from start to finish from design drawing to sample to bulk production
- Extensive knowledge in manufacturing processes and materials related to clothing
- 5 years of experience in Excel and Google sheets
- Optional but preferred: 1 year of experience in coding and general concepts like if statements, loops etc.
- Data analysis skill with excel or code. Person should have 2 years of experience in data analysis
- 1 year of experience in Shopify
- 1 year of experience in managing logistics operations
