AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.
How you will create impact
The Technical Delivery Lead reports to the Head of Multinational and Bermuda IT and is responsible for all aspects of delivery execution including resource management, financial management, risk and issue management, and technical delivery management. This role will lead the initiation, planning, and execution of large, complex IT projects and programs and will provide technical and functional leadership to coordinate and manage a single cohesive design and development team.
What you need to succeed
- Lead the design and execution of the IT strategy and roadmaps for Multinational and Bermuda aligned with business objectives
- Foster and manage strong business relationships with our stakeholders by representing in key discussions and ensuring the necessary technology capabilities are prioritized and developed
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of business perspective work plans to determine the project scope, required tasks and resources, and overall budget
- Manage coordination and direction of large third-party partner relationships
- Coordinate with other second line and enterprise-wide programs and projects while partnering with stakeholders across the organization including architects, technical teams, and the business to identify and track key activities, milestones, risks, and dependencies
- Define performance standards and perform quality reviews to ensure delivery is on-time and in accordance with program specifications
- Lead coordination, analysis, and reporting on various operational metrics, progress, and compliance with full governance and leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of experience delivering complex system integration projects
- Demonstrated ability in delivering projects using Agile methodology
- Excellent data analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to function in demanding matrixed environment with proven experience in partnering with Business and IT Delivery teams to deliver global projects and programs
- Ability to drive alignment on scope, requirements, and designs across multiple diverse business groups
- Proven ability to successfully organize and direct large teams of people and able to lead multiple teams across all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle
- Has strong leadership skills (including team building and coaching skills) and can exhibit confidence in self, and inspires and motivates others to perform well
- Able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with different audiences and viewpoints and can influence stakeholders in both positive and negative situations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead productive collaboration across varying stakeholders, fostering strong relationships both internally and externally
- Proven track record of engaging effectively and building strong relationships with business executive stakeholders
- Ability to deal well with ambiguity, conflict and difficult situations, and ability to deal with change in a pro-active and positive manner.

For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $147,000 -$186,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
