Staff Research Associate II (Clinical Interviewer)

Position Definition:

The incumbent will work on several research studies conducting clinical interviews.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct structured psychiatric diagnostic evaluation interviews (SCID) to determine presence/absence of DSM 5 Axis I disorders
• Conduct Clinician Administered Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Scale  (CAPS) to determine presence/absence of Current or Lifetime diagnosis of  PTSD
• Conduct other clinical psychological and neuropsychological assessments
• Score and code test results
• Knowledgeable of study eligibility criteria
• Formulate Diagnostic profile, present case in team meeting or diagnostic calibration case conference to determine study eligibility
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• M.A./M.S. degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work or related field required;                 
• At least 8 months of experience in conducting PTSD assessments for research projects at the San Francisco VA Medical Center
• Experience with suicide risk assessment with veterans and civilian populations
• Knowledge in DSM-5 diagnoses is required
• Knowledge and previous experience in the assessment of  Posttraumatic Stress Disorder preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

The base salary range for this position is $25.24 - $40.60 per hour. The base salary actually offered to a successful candidate will take into account various relevant and non-discriminatory business factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, and skills, and education, as well as internal equity considerations. A successful candidate may also be eligible to earn additional compensation including bonuses.
