About the role

Job Summary: 

Responsible for collecting, entering, analyzing, transmitting data and reporting outcomes results from and to a variety of data sources. Supports the organization by providing accurate, timely and complete data for decision support. Utilizes specialist knowledge to produce advance reports. Produces and analyzes sophisticated control charts and utilizes other Lean / Six Sigma data tools. Support for Quality Website (dashboard), for senior leadership, for committee monitoring, PI activities, and Board reports pertaining to quality. Ensures regulatory quality reporting compliance and other regulatory related deadlines are achieved. Ensures outcome reporting from these data sources to the pertinent responsible parties/committees. Follows data management procedures in handling this data.

Essential Functions:

Assists with gathering, validating, formatting, and entering registry data (for NDNQI, CodeBlue, ACC and other assigned registries). Assures timeliness of data entry and submittal as it relates to registry requirements. Assures that data that is submitted follows the registries’ definitions.

Creates and updates graphs and reports resulting from output from registries in a timely manner. Interprets information and ensures that the output reflects statistical stability or instability of data. Maintains accurate and clean management of files and folders of data. Interacts with Directors and VP's to construct graphs and reports.

Assists in developing new methods of obtaining required data for registries that is more accurate and timely.

Ensures that primary data sources are used, that periodic data validation and audits are completed, and that reported information is continually being refined to meet the need.

Constructs ad hoc reports as requested by Chief Medical Officer, Medical Affairs and Director and Assistant Director of Quality.

Assists Quality Coordinators with trending reports and special projects for committees.

 

Education, Experience, and Training:

Must be a High School or GED Diploma Graduate. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Three (3) years working experience in healthcare, legal or information technology setting required and with exposure to medical terminology preferred.

Must have excellent computer skills.  Mastery of Excel is mandatory.   Ability to translate data into spreadsheets, charts and graphs required.  Must able to maintain confidentiality with information related to patient care, hospital, and physician performance.
