How you will create an impact

This role manages North America Aerospace General Aviation claims, serving as a complex claims adjuster in collaboration with NA Aerospace Claims leadership to deliver a consistent, efficient and customer centric NA Aerospace claim proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong technical complex Aerospace claim management aimed at ensuring the best possible loss outcomes through Total Cost of Claim management and initiatives
• Proactive complex NA Aerospace Claim adjustment ensuring proper posting of reserves and payments within granted authority and referring over authority claim decisions to appropriate Senior Claim leadership
• Ensure prescriptive and cost effective management of assigned vendors on complex claims handled
• Responsible to communicate, update and maintain compliance with established AIG Claims & Litigation guidelines, ensure appropriate and timely engagement with AIG Legal department and participate in cross-functional litigated claim file roundtables
• Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of individually handled significant NA Aerospace claims to NA Aerospace Claim leadership
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with NA Regional Aerospace underwriting colleagues and other relevant stakeholders
• Develop and maintain relationships with appropriate NA Aerospace customers & brokers
• Maintain superior Aerospace claim handling skills by participating in technical training, keeping current with industry custom & practice
• Responsible to identify and report NA Aerospace claim trends, lessons learned & risk management opportunities and to share with the NA Aerospace Claim management as / when identified
• Support NA Aerospace Claims leadership on all assigned projects and initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all appropriate governmental regulatory and AIG Corporate & NA Aerospace claims governance guidelines

Reports to:

• NA Aerospace General Aviation Claim leader

Leadership Skills:

• Proven leadership and personnel management skills
• Aerospace or related claim management experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders
• Highly collaborative approach across functions and geographies

Technical Skills and Expertise:

• Strong technical Aerospace claim capability to handle General Aviation claims
• Demonstrate an established & proven reputation in Aerospace Insurance claim handling
• Ability to manage / minimize the total cost of complex Aerospace claims in indemnity & expense
