Your Career

We are searching for a talented Sr. Software Engineer to join the IT Customer Experience Team. You will be responsible for delivering amazing custom-built technology, including microservices for our go-to-market and licensing system, which is a key system within the PANW product ecosystem.  This role will engage with multiple product and engineering teams and will play a critical role in building great products and improving our engineering best practices. 

As a Sr. IT Software Engineer, you will work closely with other engineers on the team to consistently deliver high-quality technology products.  The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can quickly adapt to new business requirements and quickly learn new technologies.

  • Build scalable and highly reliable business systems
  • Expert at operating in an agile development environment
  • Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team 
  • Drive alignment across development teams in a data-oriented and transparent way
  • Balance security debt, product stability, and features against a backdrop of go-to-market pressures and timelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Mentor and challenge engineers to continue to grow in their discipline

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 5 years of software development or equivalent experience
  • Microservices architecture (API / Web / DB / Distributed systems) 
  • Hands-on Experience in OOPS concepts and Spring 3.x, Spring Dependency Injection (IOC, MVC, JPA, etc.), and Hibernate
  • Back end - Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security)
  • Hands-on experience in web services, preferably RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design patterns
  • Database - At least one of the following
    • MySQL/PostgreSQL/MSSQL/RDS
    • MongoDB / FireStore /  Redshift

Platforms

  • At least one of the following - GCP (preferred) / AWS / Azure
  • Experience developing container-based applications
