About the Role:
As part of the supplier engineering function, the Project Manager serves as the central facilitator between Global Sourcing (GS) and project teams to drive supply chain development. This individual contributor role leverages engineering expertise and project management tools to drive technical project management, while collaborating with cross-functional engineering groups—such as Research and Development, Process Development, and Supplier Engineering to mitigate risks, develop supply base and ensure component production readiness for new and next generation products.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the New Product Development Program
- patient treatment, product use, and overall business case
- key design/process features and performance requirements
- supplier landscape, key components, and overall risks/opportunities
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify key component risks, create material action plans, and drive mitigation actions
- Leveraging data-driven insights to influence design, process, and supplier engineering to achieve best supplier quality, service, and cost
- Infusing Global Sourcing strategies into NPD project decisions
- Partnering with the Supplier Engineering team to drive component development and qualification activities
- Implementing strategies to mitigate roadblocks that could impact project success; communicate project status with key stakeholders and leadership
- Identifying resource allocation needs and changes in project requirements
- Partnering with direct purchasing and project teams to support material procurement; roll up material COGS and drive cost reduction efforts
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiency for the Material Program Management team and support the product life cycle process
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any engineering discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Project management experience using project management tools/essentials
Preferred qualifications:
- PMP certification
- Minimum 3 years working in medical device or similarly regulated industry
- Experience managing large-scale and complex projects involving multiple functions and sites
- Ability to navigate ambiguous situations with strong conflict management and resolution skills
- Strong leadership skills with ability to influence change and drive performance cross-functionally
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels (written and verbal)
- Results-oriented, strong organizational skills; ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; analytical and process-driven
- Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain relationships
