About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager, Global Finance to lead strategic initiatives that drive innovation and operational excellence across the Finance organization. This position serves as both a project manager and internal consultant—translating complex business challenges into actionable programs that support global and enterprise-wide priorities.

Ideal candidates will bring expertise in cross-functional project management, change enablement, and workshop facilitation. This is a high-impact role for an agile, collaborative, and results-oriented professional with a passion for improving business outcomes through strategic execution.

 

 At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and execute high-priority, highly complex projects across Finance and broader enterprise functions

• Oversee project and program management activities, including timelines, deliverables, risk management, and executive-level communications

• Facilitate workshops and cross-functional problem-solving sessions to drive alignment and outcomes

• Manage and enhance critical business processes with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and measurable impact

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, fostering proactive relationships and influencing across all levels of the organization

• Navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities by providing clarity, structure, and momentum for new and ongoing initiatives

• Act as a cross-functional connector between Finance and key partners such as IT, HR, and Operations to ensure seamless project delivery

 

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field

• 10+ years of experience in complex, cross-functional project or program management roles; 8+ years with a relevant graduate degree

• Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and leading process improvement efforts

• Proven success working within large, matrixed organizations—preferably in medical device or similar regulated industries

• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Miro)

• Finance-related experience through prior work in Finance, Accounting, GBS, or significant leadership of Finance-focused projects (e.g., integration workstreams, transformation programs)

• Ability to travel up to 10%

 

Preferred qualifications:

• Certifications in project management, change management, process improvement, and/or problem solving (e.g., PMP, Prosci, Lean, Six Sigma)

• Experience leading initiatives at the intersection of Finance and other functions (e.g., Finance + IT, Finance + HR)

• Comfort with ambiguity and proven skills in project scoping and problem-solving to address internal customer needs

• Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of competing priorities and initiatives

• Highly collaborative, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization

• Skilled at managing without authority and navigating complex stakeholder environments

• Strong learning agility and willingness to dive into technical or unfamiliar subject matter
