Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Sr. Financial Analyst.  The Sr. Financial Analyst will focus on supporting Global Strength for the PowerDrive Systems business unit by preparing accurate reporting and consolidation of financial and related data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for General Ledger activity in SAP, including preparing and posting monthly/quarterly journal entries, special accruals, depreciation, settling internal orders and running reports
  • Oversee maintenance of fixed asset financials, including creation of project numbers and budgets in SAP, reporting of actual project spend, capitalizing, transferring, and disposing of assets
  • Prepare and maintain OneStream upload file for the Reporting Unit (RU) with SAP/Excel actual and forecast data, including all supplemental schedules
  • Work closely with other Reporting Unit Finance teams, as well as Corporate Headquarters, to settle intercompany variances
  • Prepare Global Strength reporting unit Balance Sheet account reconciliations, including analyzing and resolving any variances
  • Prepare actual and forecast summary reports and schedules for presentations to various functions. Support the preparation of annual Budget and Long-Range Plan for the Global Strength Reporting Unit
  • Consolidation of Global Strength cost from various Reporting units and preparing reports for the Leadership
  • Prepare annual state, federal and fixed asset tax packages
  • Continually monitor business controls to ensure BW policies and financial goals are met
  • Design and prepare various ad hoc analyses and reports and provide input to Sr. Finance Manager and various senior leaders in the Business Unit

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s Degree preferred
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in related field, with increasing responsibility
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel & Accounting required
  • SAP or similar general ledger experience required
  • Experience with ONESTREAM preferred
  • Strong understanding of business controls
  • Strong analytical/problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong capability to assess / implement business processes
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and take on new responsibilities
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced business environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can build and lead cross-functional teams as needed
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Proactive approach to solving and advising on business challenges
  • Leverage prior experiences to provide recommendations and options for process improvements
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
