Ensure that housekeeping department is working within allotted MPR standard while maintaining brand/company required cleanliness standards. </p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><ul><li>Manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department and onsite laundry facility including scheduling and payroll</li><li>Manage the sourcing, interviewing, culture training and ongoing development of housekeeping department, with a focus on team member satisfaction, productivity, and guest satisfaction</li><li>Manage and track inventory (guestroom amenities, linen, terry, laundry facilities, and cleaning supplies) and order needed supplies and amenities on monthly/quarterly basis</li><li>Interact with all associates in the housekeeping department providing ongoing and systematic feedback and performance evaluation</li><li>Issue daily assignments to all housekeepers and laundry attendants</li><li>Responsible for maintenance of Lost and Found program</li><li>Develop, implement and maintain an ongoing general cleaning program</li><li>Conduct monthly department meetings with housekeeping staff</li><li>Supervise and inspect daily cleaning of the guest rooms, guest corridors, elevator foyer area, vending area, service areas including linen closets, staff restrooms and storage area</li><li>Request and follow-up on maintenance issues/problems with engineering department to protect hotel assets, ensure a safe, accident-free environment for guests and employees</li><li>Assist in resolving guest complaints regarding service and/or room cleanliness, whether handling on own, or elevating to managerial level</li><li>Review housekeeping hours for payroll compilation, mindful of monthly budget, keeping in communication with the General Manager for potential budget discrepancies and any additional staffing requests, if needed</li><li>Keep MSD sheets current and easily available</li><li>Maintain professional image at all times through appearance and dress</li><li>Follow Company policies and procedures</li><li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management</li></ul><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations and procedures</li><li>Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals</li><li>Knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers</li><li>Proficiently speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language; ability to speak other languages in a multicultural work environment can be extremely helpful in facilitating good communication among all hotel team members</li><li>Able to speak, read, write, and comprehend a second language, preferably Spanish</li><li>Able to read and write to facilitate the communication process</li><li>Able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations</li><li>Able to prioritize and organize work assignments, delegate responsibilities</li><li>Create sense of urgency in matters that will impact the success of the business</li><li>Demonstrate genuine care for customers and employees</li><li>Comfortable conversing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and at all organizational levels</li><li>Possess complete knowledge of emergency procedures of the hotel</li><li>Able to work in fast paced environment<
