Job Purpose:

The position of Enterprise Solutions Architect – Data Resiliency will provide technical solutions to both new and existing customers in sales opportunities. The individual will be working alongside both internal and external vendor Pre-Sales Product Engineers, Sales Representatives, and Managed Service Design teams in achieving the customer's technical and budgetary targets by designing a solution for our client's challenge, which fit the defined technical and budgetary requirements and constraints. This position has a strong focus on IT infrastructure, hardware and software selection and design, and the role that the architected solution plays in supporting the customer's business systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data protection, resiliency, and storage solutions to ensure the security, availability, and integrity of our data assets. This role requires a deep understanding of data storage technologies, data replication, and data security best practices, with specific expertise in Commvault and Hitachi Vantara solutions.

Essential Functions

·       25% - Gather and document customer design requirements and perform business application analysis

·       25% - Provide in-depth technical expertise (from a software and infrastructure perspective) on technologies spanning storage, network, and servers, as well as AI, BI, and analytics. Capture, document, and share best-practice knowledge amongst the CBTS TSE community

·       25% Lead all aspects of planning, documentation, proposal, and process development of customer solution offerings

·       15% Lead development of large projects for post-install customer support for managed solutions during the sales process

·       10% Leverage and manage approved third party vendors for custom solution designs, development of new product offerings, and enhancements to existing Managed Services Product Portfolios to stay current with ever changing industry trends

• Data Protection:
• • Develop and implement data protection strategies, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Ensure data is securely stored and protected against unauthorized access and breaches
• Data Resiliency:
• • Design and maintain data resiliency plans to ensure data availability and integrity during disruptions such as cyberattacks, natural disasters, or hardware failures
  • Advise internal and external customers with disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Data Storage Management:
• • Design and implement storage solutions for data at rest, including block, file, and object storage systems
  • Provide design principles for the optimization of storage infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
• Data Replication:
• • Design and implement data replication strategies to ensure data redundancy and availability across different locations and systems
  • Provide design principles for monitoring and management of data replication processes to ensure consistency and reliability
