Junior Developer - Node.js maintainer for Fedora and Enterprise Linux

<p><span>The Red Hat Platform Tools Engineering team is seeking a Junior Software Engineer with JavaScript / Node.js skills. But if you have more experience with C/C++ or other interpreted languages such as Python or Ruby and you are interested in learning or improving your JavaScript / Node.js skills this position will be the right challenge for you! In this role, you will work with a team of developers focusing on integrating and testing JavaScript / Node.js libraries into Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems.</span></p><p></p><p><span>You'll use your JavaScript / Node.js skills, but also C, C++ or Bash, to contribute to the upcoming releases of the Linux distribution, by taking free open source code of upstream projects and integrating it into the operating system using RPM technology. While actively contributing to the upstream projects, you will communicate with experienced hackers from all over the world and results of your work will be used worldwide. Last but not least, you will develop tests for continuous integration to ensure Node.js works as expected and plays nicely with other OS components.</span></p><p></p><p><span>This role is a great opportunity to learn a wide range of technologies and operating system principles and thanks to the variety of tasks, it will be up to you what to work on each day.
