The Financial Systems Specialist is responsible for providing system support to all areas of Finance, including direct technical and functional application support where appropriate, performing data analysis and serving as a liaison between Finance and Information Technology (IT) organization (retained and outsourced). This is a new position that will report within the Chief Accounting Officer organization.

- Possesses a solid understanding of financial, accounting, and treasury concepts and applies them to finance systems.
- Identifies, evaluates, and documents SOX / internal controls in a business process; understands the company’s approach to SOX and internal controls over financial reporting.
- Partners with IT teams and project management specialists to develop, test and deliver Finance Systems solutions aligned with the company’s strategic objectives
- Provides SME analysis, review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing financial systems/processes for current and new business requirements and conditions
- Participates in acquisition due diligence, integration planning and related activities.
- Provides analysis and verification of financial system errors. Provides risk mitigation strategies for potential errors and escalates errors to IT to drive forward a resolution.
- Develops and delivers timely reports, as required, including those for the Board, senior management, operating units, and corporate clients
- Educates end-users in developing customized reports and ad hoc analysis including key business metric dashboards.
- Utilizes technology and automation tools to retrieve, display, input, gather, produce, and analyze financial information
- Performs administrative tasks as requested by Management (including access provisioning/deprovisioning and change management compliance).
- Oversees internal controls over the areas of responsibility
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five (5) years of experience in Financial Systems OR
- Five (5) years of experience in a combination of Finance and Information Technology Systems
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.)
- Experience with finance systems such as Netsuite, Avid, Oracle
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
- Ability to clear required background check
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or information technology or similar field
- Project management experience
- CPA and/or CISA certifications

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
