Description
Verily is seeking a creative and collaborative communications specialist to join our growing communications team. We work across the organization crafting communications strategies to drive thought leadership, brand awareness, and product revenue. We shape the stories that will engage media and other stakeholders, partnering with our businesses and marketing to create integrated communications plans that inspire action.
In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and delivering the narrative of Verily's tools, products and services that bridge the gap between research and care. You will collaborate closely with product, medical, product and commercial marketing, and technology teams to understand Verily's diverse offerings to drive strong thought leadership, executive comms support, speakerships and social comms.
This role requires a purpose-driven communicator who enjoys building and executing creative strategies and rolling up their sleeves to collaborate on work. You bring innovative thinking about trends and tools to augment communications strategies and are organized and a self-starter, agile to support evolving priorities. You are a curious learner, resourceful and a team player – and bring a growth mindset to how communications can shape Verily’s external perception.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the communications team and internal partners to create and execute communications strategies to elevate Verily’s profile and to spotlight key products and programs in the media.
- Develop communications plans and messaging for our scientific publications and product announcements.
- Partner with the team and Verily’s subject matter experts to execute thought leadership strategies that elevate our people, programs, projects and progress.
- Support our executives with speaking engagements by driving opportunity review and approvals, developing prep documents and materials, and working with cross-functional stakeholders on content reviews. Support communication and media relations efforts at key events and meetings.
- Integrate Verily’s news and messaging across channels by driving coordination with social media, internal communications and website stakeholders. Contribute to measurement and metrics to demonstrate impact for the company.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 4-5 years of communications experience, preferably with a minimum of 2-3 years at an agency and/or within the life sciences or healthcare industry.
- Superb communicator with strong storytelling skills and the ability to translate complex information into a concise narrative for a variety of audiences.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to run multiple projects simultaneously while delivering on the plan.
- Ability to partner across teams and collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Naturally self-motivated and comfortable influencing events and people to achieve goals.
- A builder mindset and ability to seamlessly move from high-level strategic thinking to detail-oriented tactical, outcome driven execution.
- Mission-driven with an interest and curiosity in health technology, life sciences and care delivery work.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $155,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
