Job Description

As a Security Professional - Government Unarmed Patrol in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or property damage encountered during patrols.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal policies.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience working at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
