About the role

Fleetio is looking for a self-driven and product-minded Senior Software Engineer to join our Growth engineering team. This role would be ideal for someone who has a good eye for UX, an interest in digging into data, and enjoys the idea of working with a team to research opportunities and run their own experiments in an effort to improve product adoption and reduce churn.

This is a remote opportunity and is open to candidates in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

What you'll be doing

You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, our Data Ops team, and other engineers to research, plan, design, and build features that drive user adoption of Fleetio’s product.
You will quickly spin up user experiences throughout the app and experiment with an aim towards increasing engagement from trialing users.
You will build systems to provide customized onboarding for users during their trial period or spend time improving feature areas around various modules of the app aimed at increasing usage or reducing churn.
The Growth engineering team is early stages and you will have a strong voice in setting direction for both the team and product experience.

Requirements

5+ years experience with Ruby on Rails
2+ years experience with ReactJS, Typescript
Previous experience working on a Growth engineering team
Varied experience building full stack Web based systems and features
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases, such as PostgreSQL
Prior experience with unit testing frameworks
Excellent communication skills (particularly written)
