As a Laboratory Trainer Assistant, you’ll be part of that mission by training and supporting front-line lab staff, helping ensure our standards remain exceptional across all sites.

 

What You’ll Do:


In this role, you’ll work closely with the Lab Supervisor to train new and current Medical Assistants, assist in daily lab workflows, and uphold compliance with lab protocols. You’ll play a critical part in promoting accuracy, consistency, and safety in our lab practices—all while helping team members grow.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and re-train Medical Assistants on lab practices, including blood and urine testing procedures

  • Assist in day-to-day lab operations in the Main Laboratory

  • Help maintain lab credentialing folders and ensure CLIA compliance

  • Evaluate staff competencies through hands-on training and annual skill checks

  • Support QA activities and proficiency testing efforts

  • Collaborate with lab leadership to enhance lab procedures and ensure cleanliness and safety

  • Travel to centers as needed to support staff training and oversight

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Phlebotomy and clinical lab experience required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to train others with patience, clarity, and attention to detail

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently

  • Must be able to travel and adjust scheduling as needed
