Forklift Driver (Stand up) - Shine Foods (1st shift)

Location: Shine Foods, Inc.

Job Summary: Operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and moves them to and from storage areas. Maintained inventory, performed cycle counts, and provided production with all required materials. The operator must adhere to strict safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and conduct regular pre-shift inspections to ensure a safe working environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for safely transporting dry/frozen ingredients or materials into and about the warehouse/freezer area
• Manually offload containers of product on to a pallet
• Transports material and/or product to and from designated areas in the facility
• Loading and unloading of goods from trucks according to the pick/delivery schedule
• Responsible for verifying that all assigned deliveries come with a COA
• Sorts and moves product according to First in First Out (FIFO) rule
• Stacking and sorting empty and broken pallets; both freezer and dry warehouse pallets
• Conducts daily forklift inspections
• Ensures that the warehouse area is well organized and clean
• Assist with various warehouse duties as needed

Food Safety Responsibilities:

• Warehouse storage procedures and inventory control including stock rotation, allergen separation, and label control procedures
• All employees are required to immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues they observe to their supervisor
• Monitors and enforces cGMPs within the warehouse department
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs 

Education and Certification

• High school diploma, equivalent or higher
• Forklift certified on Stand up and Reach

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to occasionally withstand a -20-freezer environment
• Able to frequently lift 30 - 50 lbs.
• Ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend and climb.  
• Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Able to follow proper PPE: proper footwear

Preferred Skills

• Ability to frequently convert weight measurements

Schedule: 1st shift (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)

Pay range: $18.50 - $18.75 per hour
