About the role
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Biospecimen & Data Management Supervisor to ensure data need are met as it pertains to data review, data commitment to BSI and data entry as time permits
- Adhere to QMS compliance in all data management activities including thorough documentation of issues/corrections implemented, in compliance with Good Laboratory Documentation practice.
- Ensure timely and thorough review for different types of paper and electronic records which are produced within the scientific teams in support of Biomarker analysis.
- Assist with quality improvement projects related to the BSI code list initiatives, BSI system modernization efforts and historical data revitalization measures
- This position will interact with Global and local IT groups, LIMS System Admins, BSI/LIMS End-Users, Quality Assurance, and other internal stakeholders
- Participates in utilization and maintenance of documented application standards and procedures
- Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Precision for Medicine Core Values
Other Operational Collaboration:
- Work with onsite logistics team, lab technologists, project managers, QA specialists and Scientists to investigate, validate and resolve data discrepancies
- Assist in the team training across the site with regards to BSI and LIMS
- Participate in customer audits as needed
- Carry out other duties/projects as assigned
- Edit / Maintain SOPs/POPs
- Initiate NCE/Complaint, when applicable or requested
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 year if related experience with Quality Control or document review
Other Required:
- A high degree of judgment, excellent communication and accuracy of work
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform administrative functions
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency including Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to organize tasks, work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to function independently in a minimally supervised environment with exceptional attention to detail required
- Demonstrated highly developed communication skills including well-developed writing skills and verbal and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, fluently and comprehend the English language
- Basic knowledge of data integrity principles and data governance strategies
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail
- Previous experience with compliance to internal QMS
- Excellent computer skills that include experience with scientific software applications
- Analyze data, identify issues, and solve problems using critical thinking skills
- Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, to customers and colleagues that are technical and non-technical individuals
- Read and interpret training or operating documents etc.
- Work independently or collaboratively in a group
- Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
- Maintain a high standard of courtesy and cooperation with co-workers and customers
