Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up surgical instrumentation and equipment according to department standards and surgeon preference cards.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are ready and functioning properly.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures, providing instruments and supplies promptly.
- Implement and adhere to aseptic techniques, including practices to prevent retained foreign objects and ensure safe medication labeling and handling.
- Handle specimens safely and in accordance with established protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices and technological advancements.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Salary Range: $37.50- $49.46

We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with:
- Working knowledge of use, function, and operation of operating room equipment, instrumentation, and furniture
- Working knowledge of operating room sanitation
- Working knowledge of aseptic technique
- Working knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and terminology
- Ability to communicate with other staff to obtain and provide information
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers and other co-workers
- Ability to accept shift changes to meet the department’s needs.
- Skill in setting priorities, recognizing emergencies and taking appropriate action based on experiences or according to instruction from the nurse in charge.
