Geospatial Field Internship Opportunity: Make a Real Impact!

Are you ready to blend your passion for surveying and GIS technology with meaningful fieldwork? Sebago Technics is looking for enthusiastic GIS/Geospatial Field Interns to assist in an ongoing project for a local water district. This is your chance to work alongside industry professionals and make a real difference!

What You’ll Do

As a GIS Field Intern, you’ll work on-site and in the field to:

· Locate water service shutoff valves using historic handwritten record cards.

· Collect centimeter-level GPS data for accurate mapping and record updates.

· Fill out and update key attributes directly in the ArcGIS Online Feature Service.

· Collaborate closely with experienced surveyors and GIS professionals to improve and modernize water utility records.

What We’re Looking For

· A passion for GIS, geospatial technology, and problem-solving.

· Familiarity with ArcGIS Online and GPS data collection (experience with high-accuracy GPS is a bonus!).

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· The ability to work independently in the field and as part of a professional team.

· Availability to work in the Summer of 2025, in the Greater Portland Area.
