Registered Nurse - Oncology

Part-time 64 hours per pay period Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00pm with a rotating day off every week.
Oncology nurses serve as a crucial part of a patient’s cancer care team, often coordinating the treatment and services the patient receives. They help with treatments such as chemotherapy and other infusions while monitoring patients’ vitals. This position will also help with mixing immunotherapy, chemotherapy and other medications as ordered, as well as ordering supplies and inventory management. An Oncology Nurse works closely with individual patients and often becomes a constant for the patient, which can provide comfort and consistency.
The responsibilities of oncology nurses goes beyond direct patient care, they work hand-in-hand with physicians and other health care team members to ensure the greatest quality of care for the patient. The responsibilities and duties of oncology nurses include:
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations
- Providing a safe space for patients undergoing cancer treatments
- Strong communication skills to explain treatments to patients and share information with
- Collaboration to work well with other care providers.
- Ability to build relationships with patients
- Attention to detail to notice changes in patients
- Strong understanding of cancer treatments and research to support patients
- Willingness to advocate for patients
Employment is contingent on drug screening, health assessment and background check.
Benefits & Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $30.40-$45.60, initial pay based on relevant work experience.
