The Job:
As a Sr. Data Engineer, you’ll be part of our Construction Technology team working as a remote employee. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sr. Data Engineer to join our agile, lean, and high-performing team focused on delivering digital services and SaaS platforms. Key Responsibilities and Professional Experience:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure efficient data integration across systems.
- Implement middleware solutions to facilitate seamless communication between enterprise applications and data platforms.
- Optimize data workflows and systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain data models, ensuring data integrity and consistency across platforms.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and middleware.
- Hands-On Technical Guidance, Mentorship and Leadership:
- Actively participate in the development and deployment of middleware solutions and data pipelines.
- Write and review code to ensure high-quality implementation of architectural designs.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and debugging of platform-related issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype and validate new technologies and solutions.
- Lead by example, demonstrating technical expertise and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Analyze data to identify patterns, insights to create benchmarks, trends etc. for end users.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent.
- At least 8+ years of experience developing data platforms.
- Strong programming skills in object-oriented and/or functional languages such as JavaScript and TypeScript, and SQL.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in real-time and batch data processing, BI tools, and data enrichment.
- Expertise in job optimization, data consistency, accuracy, and availability.
- Familiarity with modern web technologies, containerization, and authentication systems.
- Strong skills in developing data pipelines using cloud SQL, NoSQL, and distributed frameworks.
- Enterprise development and implementation experience with researching and productizing insights/trends using LLM and/or Standard ML models.
- Solid understanding of system design patterns and trade-offs between cost, scale, speed, and agility.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
