Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years comparable Tax and Accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax or economics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in tax or accounting
  • Experience using tax research tools, such as: Bloomberg BNA, Thomson Reuters Checkpoint
  • Proficient in MS excel, Level II (Intermediate)
  • Experience using tax provision software such as Onesource Tax Provision, CorpTax

Job Summary
You'll be responsible for collecting and preparing tax data, reviewing returns, performing tax research and maintaining records that help the company or companies file tax returns in compliance with local, state and federal laws

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with accounting teams to obtain, analyze and prepare workpapers supporting the annual Federal, State and Local income/franchise tax returns 
  • Support the tax team by researching and collecting data related to income, franchise and indirect tax questions, as needed
  • Coordinating with various entities to obtain, analyze and prepare workpapers supporting quarterly/monthly gross receipts tax returns and/or indirect tax returns 
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly tax expense calculations and annual tax provision
  • Analyze and resolve basic tax questions, as needed
  • Research and prepare responses to various income and franchise tax notices as received 
  • Assist tax team with various Federal and State income/franchise tax audits, as needed
