Overview:

We are hiring a Senior Creo/Windchill System Administrator who will configure, maintain and optimize our Creo and Windchill Systems! In this role, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the Windchill environment. This position resides in the Neutron Systems Engineering and Support (NSES) Group in the Research Computing Support Division (RCSD), in the Information Technology Services Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).  

 

Major Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Design and oversee the technical architecture of the ORNL’s PLM and ALM solutions.

• Install, configure, customize, maintain, and upgrade PTC Creo, Windchill, ThingWorx Navigator, and Codebeamer products.

• Implement and maintain workflows, access controls, and data structures.

• Troubleshoot Windchill technical issues including both server and CAD client-side.

• Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to ensure optimal functionality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Windchill with other enterprise systems.

• Create and maintain system documentation including installation procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

• Liasson with the Creo and Windchill Users group.

• Maintain user statistics of PTC products.

Basic Qualifications:

• A BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, information systems, science, engineering, business, or a related discipline and a minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years of aligned professional experience is required for consideration. An overall combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.

• Eight (8) or more years of experience as a Windchill System Administrator or similar role.
