Job Description
Your Tasks
As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives within our manufacturing environment. This internship provides hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that drive productivity, quality, and safety.
You will gain practical exposure to manufacturing operations, data analysis, and engineering problem-solving while contributing to real projects that impact daily production performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with time studies and process observations to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process standardization.
- Collect, organize, and analyze production and operational data to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Help develop and update standard work instructions and process documentation.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to quality, safety, and operational performance.
- Assist with layout planning, workflow optimization, and capacity analysis.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to support operational initiatives.
- Present project updates and findings to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Role
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Students must be at a minimum sophomore standing with a GPA 2.8 or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, or continuous improvement concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard business tools.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and engage in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
