General Information:
Under the direction of the Vice President of US Sales Operations, this role is responsible for identifying and evaluating new market growth opportunities across the United States. The duties of this position include the analysis of customers for new markets, as well as conducting competitive research and analysis. The Sales Market Developer and Customer Outreach Director is accountable for developing and implementing programs and projects that enable the achievement of sales targets by conducting market research and exploring potential new markets to identify business opportunities. Additionally, this role is responsible for collaborating with business units to create and publish compelling sales collateral, sales presentations, case studies, and customer testimonials.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensures the market is monitored by developing and maintaining efficient marketing tools and implementing coordinated market analysis and activities.
- Analyzes customer needs for new and specific markets.
- Together with the Business Units, develop and publish meaningful sales collateral and ensure proper material is created including sales presentations and presentation templates, case studies, customer testimonials, and training material in new approaches and markets is established for the sales team.
- Proactively seek market intelligence through the account teams and external industry sources.
- Work with BU Sales Liaisons and BU Marketing and Sales leaders to raise awareness and ensure proper action toward aligning our products, systems and services with the US Market requirements as found through research and analysis.
- Partner with BU Sales Liaisons and BU Marketing and Sales to research and document comprehensive competitive intelligence and analysis to be shared and presented across US Sales and applicable business units and their target markets.
- Proactively develop customer analysis for new markets and new ideas for profitable growth and strategic differentiation based on clear analysis and understanding of the Customer buying behaviors / decision criteria.
- Collaborate with the US Sales BU Liaisons and BU Marketing and Sales leaders to develop, publish, and maintain up-to-date competitive analyses to gain better insight into offerings, branding, sales and marketing approaches.
- Develop and drive framework for market administration to align with US Sales strategy. Ensure market improvement based on customer / market segmentation and competitor analysis.
- Create Customer Engagement roadmap to identify new and specific market events which expand knowledge, visibility, and network with Customers.

Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration or technical field / advanced degree desirable; Equitable experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Minimum 10 years in related experience in Strategic Sales and Marketing required.
- Proficient in Salesforce.com, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), documentation, and leadership skills.
