Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Account Manager to join our team in Fremont, supporting a key strategic datacom and advanced compute customer. As an Account Manager, you will manage assigned business units within this account with the primary objective of growing profitable Molex revenue within it by creating new demands and seeking out existing business. This role is a highly visible, customer-facing position responsible for driving design-in wins and long-term revenue growth within strategic accounts. The Account Manager owns technical engagement, commercial execution, and cross-functional alignment from early design through production ramp, serving as the primary interface between customers and Molex’s engineering, product, and manufacturing teams.

Our Team

This role reports to the Sales GIG Datacom organization and sits within the global account management team that drives strategic customer engagements. You will work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to enable customers to successfully integrate our products into their designs, accelerating time to win and revenue growth. This role is highly cross-functional and focused on aligning commercial strategy, operational execution, and customer success across the account ecosystem.


What You Will Do In Your Role

Strategic Account & Design Ownership

  • Own a strategic customer with responsibility for design‑in initiatives, long-term revenue growth, and account P&L.
  • Develop and execute account strategies that drive early technical engagement, align customer architectures with Molex capabilities, and secure durable design wins.
  • Build trusted, senior‑level relationships across engineering, architecture, procurement, and operations to influence customer roadmaps and platform decisions.

Design‑In Execution & Technical Leadership

  • Lead customer engagements from early architecture discussions through POCs, pilot builds, reference designs, and production ramps.
  • Drive execution by mobilizing cross‑functional teams (Applications Engineering, R&D, Signal Integrity, Quality, Manufacturing) to meet aggressive technical and schedule targets.
  • Own design‑in schedules, dependency tracking, and risk registers; proactively surface tradeoffs and mitigation plans to keep programs moving.
