SAP Senior Developer

Job Description:

This role is based in our Aarhus office, where you’ll play a pivotal role within our Commerce practice, leading the development of backend systems while collaborating closely with Solution Architects, QA specialists, and project managers. While Commerce is our core domain, your role will also involve integration, infrastructure, and security to ensure comprehensive, production-grade solutions. 

As a Senior Developer / Lead Developer, you will be working alongside experienced developers, QA specialists, and project managers. You will take ownership of technical direction within projects and help lead a team of developers by setting standards, reviewing code, and mentoring others. 

We're looking for a Senior Developer / Lead Developer with strong technical expertise, leadership experience (or ambitions), and a passion for software quality. You enjoy shaping development processes and can confidently lead discussions on how best to deliver scalable and maintainable systems.

Qualifications 

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience. 

• Extensive hands-on experience developing Java Spring based applications. 

• Ability to confidently provide technical leadership for backend project and mentor junior developers. 

• Strong architectural understanding of scalable backend systems and integration patterns. 

• Proactive, goal-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. 

• Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions. 

• Passionate about code quality, performance optimization, and scalable architectures. 

• Experience with automated testing practices and frameworks. 

• Excellent communication skills, particularly in client-facing scenarios. 

Technical Experience and Interests 

• Deep expertise in delivering high quality code, especially using the Java language on the Spring platform. 

• Experience or strong interest in other modern languages and technologies such as Typescript, Gradle and Terraform. 

• Proficient with cloud-based development on Azure or AWS. 

• Knowledge about container deployment and Docker. 

• Knowledge of the SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP Business Technology Platform is a plus but not required
