About the role
onsemi is seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant to oversee the management and financial reporting of our fixed assets in a fast-paced, multinational semiconductor environment. This role ensures the accuracy of asset records, manages depreciation, and supports compliance with global accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in capital expenditure tracking, manufacturing equipment accounting, and asset lifecycle management.
- Maintain and track fixed assets, including semiconductor fabrication equipment, R&D tools, and corporate infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and company policies for asset capitalization, depreciation, and impairment.
- Coordinate regular audits and physical asset verification across manufacturing sites and R&D facilities.
- Reconcile fixed asset accounts with the general ledger and support financial close processes.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to track asset movements and disposals.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing fixed asset schedules and documentation.
- Optimize fixed asset tracking systems, including ERP integration for accurate reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and fixed asset accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, particularly in fixed asset modules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and capital expenditure cycles is a plus.
