The Machine Learning Infrastructure team owns the tools that empower the development of new machine learning models and data intelligence at Extrahop. Scalability, efficiency and experimentation is the lifeblood of machine learning. Come help build tools that simplify the processes that make all this possible. 

What we’re looking for:

Our goal on the Machine Learning Infrastructure team is to make it fast, easy, and cost effective to design, code, deploy, perform experiments and analyze data from new and existing threat detection models.  As an engineer on this team, you will design and build infrastructure and tooling to support ongoing research and scalability efforts. 

What you’ll do:

• Design and build tooling to enable data scientists and ML engineers to quickly iterate on models and experiments. Work with a variety of engineering and analytical roles.
• Collaborate on and lead architecture discussions to meet the requirements of machine learning teams at the scale of thousands of models and hundreds of terabytes of data. 
• Implement scalable, high-throughput, fault-tolerant, extensible, and easily maintainable systems.
• Mentor junior members of the machine learning infrastructure team.

A successful candidate will have:

• Experience working with scalable, fault-tolerant services for production data
• Experience building backend systems using Python, Docker, Postgres
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Strong communication & collaboration skills, and a belief that team output is more important than individual output
• Experience with big data and related systems
• Experience working with CI/CD technologies

Bonus points:

• Knowledge in cybersecurity and/or networking fundamentals
• Knowledge of container technologies / AWS

 

All R&D Employees may choose to work remote or from our Seattle office but will be required to attend 2 mandatory in-person events every year of approx. 4 days duration.

$149,000- $198,000 + benefits+ options
