Responsibilities

Consults with portfolio, program, and project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks. Develops, implements, and maintains an effective scheduling management system. Coordinates project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders. Monitors portfolio, program, and/or project timelines and deadlines. Identifies potential project schedule delays and facilitate intervention in an expeditious manner. Evaluates performance and prepare project progress reports. Participates in design meetings and propose schedule related improvements as necessary. Accommodates updates and changes to portfolio, program, and/or project schedules.

 

Works closely with portfolio/program/project managers to create comprehensive action plans concerning resources, budgets, and timeframes. Supports schedule risk management analysis. Recommends actions to keep portfolios, programs, and/or projects on time and within budget. Keep stakeholders informed of portfolio, program, and/or project timelines and deadlines. Manages project­ related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are up to date, properly stored, and filed.

 

The roles and responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to the following:

  • Translate, mature, and map user and operational needs into system requirements.
  • Document and/or store all system engineering related artifacts in a Sponsor approved repository.
  • Provide support for project management roles to include sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Advise on prioritization of software development efforts.
  • Identify interfaces between systems for integration, systems architectures, and systems requirements.
  • Identify and communicate system engineering risks, issues, assumptions, mitigations, and dependencies with respect to system accreditation and authorization.
  • Support the coordination of project activities with Sponsor stakeholders in preparation of product deployment to include user training.
  • Facilitate and organize product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Facilitate and organize Technical Exchange Meetings.
  • Support the development and execution of strategies and plans for system validation, verification, and integration activities.
  • Support the Sponsor’s software acceptance testing and support development of supporting documentation.
  • Perform System Testing.
  • Support development of software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, and appropriate risk management.
  • Provide technical support during software configuration to include end user training as needed.
  • Provide technical support to systems preparing for deployment, as well as, actively deployed systems.
  • Monitor compliance with and make recommendations to system architectures and system integration practices that affect the Sponsor’s product lines.
  • Collaborate with Sponsor stakeholders to identify and seek to resolve systems engineering gaps, especially as it concerns end-to-end product compatibility.
  • Promote system engineering principles and best practices that are appropriate for the Sponsor’s environment.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, fast paced environment with a willingness to assist and support teams with evolving requirements and objectives.
  • Ability to identify mission needs and foster creative and viable approaches to technical problems.
  • Desire, expertise, and skills to provide technical support in one or more of a wide range of technologies.
  • Strong analytical abilities and skills in organizing, planning, communicating, and executing project management tasks.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize tasks, solve problems, work several tasks concurrently, and efficiently manage a high volume of emails, develop fluency with online tracking tools rapidly and effectively.
