Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Adult Services

Full-time - 40 hours a week

Hiring range: $19.00 - $20.71/hr. depending on qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent, minimum age 18.
  • RBT Certification within 90 days of hire - Employer paid.

Position Summary

Behavior line staff are responsible for implementing behavioral interventions through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and provide interventions through direct 1:1 or group contact with persons receiving services (PRS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

1. Under the guidance of the BCBA, implement behavior services to persons receiving services (PRS) to improve socially significant behaviors.

2. Complete data collection and billing documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

3. Communicate effectively and efficiently with PRS, guardians, independent contractors, and other relevant parties effectively and promptly.

4. Provide training or modeling under the guidance of the BCBA.

5. Provide transportation of PRS when necessary.

6. Ensure compliance with Ariel, BACB, state, and federal regulations. 

7. Follow all safety procedures and agency policies.  


Additional Duties and Responsibilities 

1. Must work closely with other Ariel programs.

2. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Ability to use science, logic, and evidence to make decisions surrounding programming, and the ability to promote interventions that are behavior analytic. 

2. Knowledge of various developmental disabilities. 

3. Ability to be flexible, and able to change direction rapidly, with a positive and respectful attitude.

4. Ability to demonstrate regular attendance, and work outside of traditional office hours and settings including: nights, weekends and holidays as necessary to meet the needs of the agency and individuals served.

5. Skilled in critical thinking and use of sound judgment to arrive at a positive outcome. 

6. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis. 

7. Ability to provide excellent customer service and meet professional standards of work performed.

8. Knowledge and competence in data collection, data analysis, and creating graphs.

9. Knowledge and competence in computers, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, electronic time-clocks, and electronic data collection.

10. Ability to remain calm and model calm behavior during crises.

11. Ability to effectively communicate well with others.

12. Ability to demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance as scheduled and requested


Education and Experience

Required:  

1. High School diploma or equivalent, minimum age 18.

Preferred:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and/or enrolled in a BCBA program.

2. Experience with behavior interventions at hire.

3. Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification at hire.


Certifications/Licenses

• Valid Colorado Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.

• CPR, First Aid – before contact with persons receiving services (PRS). (Training provided by Ariel)

• RBT Certification within 90 days of hire. (
