The Connected Aviation (CA) business is currently leading the Connected Ecosystem strategic pillar for Collins Aerospace. Within the CA team, the Airports team is focused on leading the digital transformation of the passenger journey through airports around the globe.

You will be contributing to help drive strategic initiatives in a fast-paced program management team, working with leaders in aviation. This role will actively support the Value Stream Leaders for the Airports PMO reporting directly to the portfolio Director.  The Airports business focuses on cutting-edge connectivity solutions designed to enhance operational efficiency, safety and passenger experience for airports globally.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do:

  • Participate in strategic discussions to drive process optimization across all PMO teams globally
  • Work with regional VSLs, PMO leads and project managers to identify and standardize processes, tools and artifacts to drive efficiency and productivity in the organization
  • Work to identify gaps in the pursuit-to-order capture phase of the program life cycle and help close them proactively
  • Create a central repository framework to host all program materials
  • Create a database and dashboard to track multiple data points to allow PMO leaders to easily track various metrics to make timely, data-driven decisions – labor spend by project, B&P budget, management reserve by project, headcount and utilization, etc.
  • Participate in gate reviews and program reviews

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Program management focus, cross-functional leadership, interest in P&L acumen
  • Proficient knowledge using Microsoft Office products and tools like Sharepoint, Smartsheets, PowerBi/Tableau
