Frontend Software Engineer III, REACT

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Sector - AMDP Platforms, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Your responsibilities include enhancing, developing, and delivering a secure, stable, and scalable AIML Data Platform. You'll contribute technically to the architecture, design, and construction of AI/ML-related Front-End and API capabilities, working with both traditional AI/ML and Generative AI.

 

Job responsibilities

• Architects, Design and implements User and Developer Experience capabilities for our AI/ML platform.
• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Optimizes system performance by identifying and resolving inefficiencies and bottlenecks. 
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Develops advanced monitoring and management tools for high reliability and scalability. 
• Collaborates with product teams to deliver tailored, technology-driven solutions. 
• Drives the adoption and execution of ML Platform tools across various teams. 
• Integrates Generative AI within the ML Platform using state-of-the-art techniques. 
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience. 
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Proven experience with modern Frameworks and Libraries which includes React, Typescript, CSS, and JavaScript
• Proven experience with REST APIs, Distributed Systems, Cloud Technologies
• Proven experience with use of Design Systems and building pattern libraries.
• Proven experience with developing for accessible standards and system for accessible design.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
• Cloud certification
• Experience in Java/Python
• Good to have AI/ML Experience
