Product Manager (Connections Community)
GWIAbout the role
We’re looking for a product manager to join us here at GWI. Not just any product manager though. Someone ambitious and genuine, who works best in the midst of a collaborative and forward-thinking team. That’s because as a GWIer you’ll be immersed in the fast-moving world of data tech. We think big to make an impact, we’re not afraid to ask why, and we always show respect. Those values are what got us where we are today, and they’re a big part of what we’re looking for in you.
About the job
GWI products span the whole Consumer Market Research process, from data collection through to analysis and insight generation via our intuitive client facing platform.
Within the Connections community you will discover, test and build new ways to bring the value of GWI data and insights to users, and to allow users to interact with GWI in new places, expanding the GWI ecosystem via data and tech integrations.
What you’ll be doing
Lead a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team to discover, build, test and deploy new solutions for industry challenges relating to use of GWI data and insights.
- Incorporate client feedback, stakeholder input, and usage data, and work with Associate Director of Product to create a vision, strategy, and prioritised backlog of problems to solve, aligned to wider GWI, and Connections strategy.
- Maintain a culture of fast learning and rapid iteration, sometimes amid high uncertainty.
- Communicating plans and progress to a wide range of stakeholders, e.g. sharing roadmaps, presenting ‘Show & Tells’, responding to product support requests, and more.
- A lead role in agile practices (e.g. Sprint Planning), and ticket acceptance as you ensure that team output is aligned to Community, and wider strategy.
- Become the subject matter expert for your product area, and the market and technical environment in which it operates.
About you
First things first, as a disruptor in the global market research industry, we haven’t come this far without entrepreneurial spirit and a get-up-and-go attitude. So if you think we’ll see that in you, then you’re already halfway there. Here’s the rest of what we’d like you to bring to the table.
Technical
You are confident to make informed, user centric decisions, have a track record of delivering at pace while managing uncertainty and can see the bigger picture to lead your team in a new direction, and find opportunities for bold experiments.
- A proven record of having launched products before at a B2B company, with measurable success metrics.
- Ideally experience of Ad-tech, Advertising, Market Research and related industries.
- Experience working with specialist User Researchers or related roles: clarifying assumptions, problems and hypotheses, observing sessions, taking part in analysis.
Competencies
- Willing to experiment, fail fast, and celebrate the learnings while moving onto the next test. To be regularly outside of your comfort zone.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to different stakeholders with the right level of context and detail (for example: execs vs. engineers vs. customers).
- Excellent communication skills; willing to present to clients and internal stakeholders and comfortable to explain decision trade offs. Able to influence without direct authority.
Our benefits
Great benefits make a big difference. Not just to employees, but to the whole vibe of a business. That’s why when you work for us, you’ll enjoy a full spectrum of generous perks, rewards and office benefits.
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonus
