Role Overview
Reporting to the Director, Project Management, the IT Project Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of IT-led initiatives.  This person will be responsible for including project planning, tracking, implementation, and risk management.
The ideal candidate would have experience working on multiple technology and digital initiatives working on agile/scrum and non-agile projects that are partner-facing.

Responsibilities

  • Scope, budget and plan overall technology internal technology roadmap and project forecast
  • Create, track and drive end-to-end multi-phase project plans for internal technology
  • Partner with internal (e.g. finance, HR, business development, etc.) and external cross-functional team members to create and execute projectsEnsure all stakeholders are completing their deliverables as needed
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and facilitate portfolio reviews
  • Manage and communicate timelines, tasks, issues, and risks as neededFacilitate cross-functional continuous improvement meetings

Ideal Profile

  • 5+ years in project management and 3+ tech industry experience
  • Experience in SaaS, EdTech, or consumer internet type companies
  • Experience in Waterfall,  agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and ITIL to execute projects and deliver regular releases
  • Demonstrated success and understanding of diverse IT Systems, especially cloud applications and services
  • Advanced knowledge of information technology and development workflows/lifecycles
  • Exposure to enterprise level tools and systems such as GSuite, Okta, HRIS, JIRA, and AWS
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including documenting and explaining technical issues
  • Ability to drive consensus across a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identifying risks, potential blind spots and think strategically 
  • Experience with online project management tools such as Jira and Wrike
  • Eager to hit the ground running, proactive, entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and enjoys taking the reins in sometimes ambiguous situations

  • Experience with higher education institutions or consulting a plusIndustry certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI, CAPM, or CSM)
