Job Description
Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies.
This role is part of a pending contract proposal. We are actively interviewing to identify qualified candidates in anticipation of a successful award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Evaluates reliability of production materials, properties, and techniques. Plans, designs, and develops electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging, optical systems, and/or Digital Signal Processing (DSP) systems. Under general direction, designs and develops equipment, processes, and systems that involve data networks, communications, and display. Analyzes equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical design. Determines feasibility from technical and economic perspectives. Coordinates and consults with engineers to resolve design problems. Develops and maintains technical procedures, documentation, and manuals. Compiles and analyzes operational data and directs tests to establish standard for new designs or modifications to existing equipment, systems, or processes.Evaluates reliability of production materials, properties, and techniques. Minimum Qualifications
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field
