POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Director for Enterprise Architecture, your work will involve developing frameworks that align an organization’s IT infrastructure with business processes and data to improve the efficiency and productivity of business operations. You and your team will work to map the relationships between information systems components such as: end users, business processes, applications, data, IT platform hardware/software, and networks. You will identify key interactions and dependencies across separate systems and platforms and evaluate the total cost of ownership and return on investment of various architecture alternatives. As a leader, you will establish and implement strategies that have mid to long-term impact on business results in alignment with Purina and broader Nestle objectives. Lastly, you will develop roadmap plans for optimizing the organization, function, or sub-function and the talent required to execute strategies within your area.

  • Achieve a customer first mindset to drive architecture that is scalable, cloud first, cost effective and increases business agility
  • Collaborate and work with technical and business teams to influence key architectural decisions
  • Design and implement enterprise-level solutions that align with business objectives
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, cross-org alignment, and key design decisions in alignment with business requirements
  • Participate in strategic planning and architecture planning by providing current state knowledge as well as insights into the future direction
  • Establish a balance between practice solutions and alignment with the architectural vision
  • Work closely with multiple cross-org development teams to define, select and architect products and services that require significant cross component coordination and ensure alignment with architecture standards
  • Define future state architecture that enables and adopts the strategy for APIs, databases, cloud infrastructures, cloud services, and microservices
  • Lead integration efforts between different platforms and systems and drive migration strategies to transition from legacy systems
  • Enhance and raise engineering bar on engineering standards and processes to ensure extensibility, scalability, quality, and compliance
  • Research and stay up to date with the industry’s latest and best practices, and experiment with cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation
  • Lead project development across the organization and work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to drive development and release plans
  • Evaluate alternative architectures and technologies that best fit the business requirements and service KPIs

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in at least two IS/IT disciplines (such as infrastructure or security management, application development, middleware, information analysis) in a multitier environment
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT architecture leader or working as a solution architect in an Agile environment

 

Other

  • Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex ISIT solutions, products and platforms
  • Experience in the area of digital business and technologies
  • Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
